“Nerd Row” probably isn’t what you think it is. Not just limited to Dungeons & Dragons (though, there is a bit of that), this small zone popped up in the Riversdale and nearby neighbourhoods, and is full of great gaming, 3D printing and technology cafes, boardgames pubs and more. Understand that it will definitely appeal to more types than just the stereotypical “nerd.” On this wonderful strip of city you can grab a drink or some food and play some video games or just sit back and enjoy a surrounding packed with superhero, sci-fi and gaming memorabilia.
Seemingly popping up overnight, this section of Saskatoon is a must-visit if you want to immerse yourself in one of Canada’s most unique nightlife scenes. Check out our list of some of the best venues on Nerd Row:
Boardgames aren’t just for night’s where you can’t think of anything else to do. Having a few drinks around the table topped with boardgames is a certified good time. King Me Boardgamery has them all: Settlers of Catan, Ticket To Ride, Monopoly, Scrabble, Life, Risk Battleship, Dungeons and Dragons, and more. While King Me isn’t licensed for alcohol, their snacks and paninis are deadly.
